Can Low blood pressure cause Angina?

I have had low blood pressure due to medication i have been taking and recently have started to get angina symptoms like crushing pains in my chest. Is this serious?

Only if your blood pressure is low enough that it is not delivering a insufficient blood supply to the coronary arteries. If this happens, one could develop chest pain which is a symptom of angina. If there is an insufficient blood supply, this can of course also lead to a heart attack.

For this to happen, your BP would have to be really low. As I said, If your BP becomes too low, this would mean your BP is not sufficient enough to deliver enough blood to the organs of the body, this will result in your organs not working properly and this can cause damage.

A usual indication of BP that is too low is dizziness. If there is not a sufficient blood supply to the brain, your brain cells won’t receive enough oxygen and nutrients, and this will result in a person feeling lightheaded and dizzy etc, It really depends how low your BP is and other circumstances.

If you are having chest pains, see your Dr. There could be other reasons for your chest pain.

i have two questions in here… heartburn and angina?

ok…
here we go.
how long can heartburn last?

and

how can you tell the difference between heartburn and angina?

just wondering:)

many thanks<3
oh...
and another one...

can anxiety cause heartburn?

An angina causes pain and an irregular heartbeat (arythmia). It will also cause you to feel dizzy due to low blood pressure, whereas heartburn is just the burning sensation in your chest. It doesn’t actually mean your heart is burning, its just acidic fluid that is refluxing upwards from your stomach. It may last for several hours at the most.

Anxiety cannot cause you to have heartburn, as it is only dependent on the kinds of foods and drinks you intake.

What does a big heart mean?

I mean, I have high blood pressure. Quite high indeed. And I have some health conditions now and then. I was thinking I might have something like angina or something. But tests concluded that except for high blood pressure there is nothing wrong with me. I was just browsing my pictures and I found my x rays pictures. The only other problem I have, and it is quite noticeable when looking at my x rays, is that my heart is really big. What does a big heart mean and which conditions may come as a result. Is it a problem in itself? Does it give you some sickness?

YOU looking at your xrays, it is hard to determine if your heart is big. If your doctor has done testing, he would have told you that. It can be noticed on an EKG, ultrasound, or even the x-ray. However, if that was a problem, surely he would have told you. I would speak with him about your intrepretation of your films.

An enlarged heart is referred to as cardiomyopathy. You can read more about it and its causes at the link below.
