Causes Of Angina In Women
causes of angina in women
Women and Heart Disease – Health
Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. Coronary Artery Disease is the most common disease that leads to heart attack, but there are other causes that should still be considered. Obesity is also on the rise and a huge problem in the United States of America which doesn’t help the statistics of Heart attack and other heart diseases.
A high fat diet and obesity is the #1 reason for heart attacks. When you have Coronary Artery Disease it means your heart has an overgrowth of plaque in its arteries. With CAD, heart attacks occur when a build up of plaque ruptures in the artery causing a blood clot which in turn blocks oxygen and creates the attack. The artery becomes damaged and that section of the heart starts dieing. Once a part of your heart is damaged it becomes harder for your heart to pump blood efficiently. It has to work harder and the probability of another heart attack is high.
There are symptoms that may show signs of a coming heart attack. Some of these symptoms include angina. Angina classifies as pain either in the chest, jam, the back of jaw, shoulders, arm, or back. Stress also triggers Angina. It’s a squeezing or pressure like pain that goes away with rest and comes back when active. Some people who have CAD have no symptoms. It’s called the Silent Heart Attack. Women on the other hand have completely different symptoms then that of men.
Women have often stated that they noticed symptoms a month before their heart attack. About half of them had no chest pain or discomfort. The most noticeable symptoms are unusual sudden fatigue, restlessness, shortness of breath, cold sweats, anxiety, and dizziness. Indigestion is another symptom that can be confused with an everyday disturbance. All of these symptoms however can be confused with many other conditions or even a sign of dehydration.
Heart attack is hard to detect whether you’re a man or woman. The way you can be sure to avoid the attack is by exercising daily. Eat a low fat diet filled with vegetables and fruit. Drink plenty of water and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Prevention is the only cure. Obesity and high cholesterol is completely preventable and reversible with discipline of a healthy diet, exercise and water. It’s cost efficient. If you are genetically prone to high cholesterol or other heart-related disease, you may need to see a doctor and get on prescription medication. All you need is will power and you can be on your way to be worry free.

Why my bp has went to normal to 160/71 & pulse to 41?
I have diabetes and neuropathy. Always had perfect blood pressure and heart rate (118/80 P 75). Last month I had surgery & was told I had a low heart ratebut nothing else was said. In the last few days my blood pressure ranges from 135/71 to 165/75 and my heart rate drop to 41-57. I went to ER and had tests and ekg which showed my heart was sluggish. I have angina and depression. Also 10% blockage intwo arteries (found in 2002). I was sent home and told to cut down on my beta blockers. I cut down and I still have the same problem. Is it in my head or is it because I am female and not treated the same as a male. I was told by a heart DR. that I was the cause of my problem and women did not have heart troubles until the age of 70 and over. I am 52.
Geesh! Find a new doctor.
Beta blockers may slow your heart, but they also reduce your BP. What will your BP do if you scale them down?
As to BP, I recommend getting a blood pressure cuff and monitoring it yourself. (Cuffs can be had for around $50 at your local drug store… ask the pharmacist for a recommendation.) Take it while sitting in a chair with your feet on the floor, after you have rested for a few minutes. Try to do this every day and log the results.
If you haven’t already, I think you should do all of the dietary and lifestyle changes that are recommended for BP. These include cutting back on sodium (read food labels and don’t add any salt, yourself), making sure you get enough potassium (eat fruit!), losing weight (to a BMI of < 25 if necessary), quitting smoking, alcohol, caffeine, etc. Dietarily, the DASH diet or rice diet might make sense for you, but I'm not sure how well that would go with the diabetes.
For what its worth, my wife was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at the age of 43. Women do have heart problems. Hopefully they can find doctors that actually want to help them!

what does S.L. mean?
it’s a medical abbreviation…it says “2.5 to 5 mg S.L. tablets for prompt relief of angina.”
It means sublingual, which means “put it under your tongue”. Any prescription contains several pieces of information:
-the name of the drug
-the dose of the drug
-the route of administration – “po”=by mouth, “iv”=through an iv, “im”=intramuscular (a shot), “sl”=sublingual, and so on
-the frequency of dosing – i.e. once a day, every four hours, etc.
-the amount to dispense.
You probably have some form of nitroglycerin, so the full prescription would read something like:
Nitroglycerin 2.5mg
1-2 tabs SL q5 minutes prn angina. If not relieved after 3 doses seek medical attention.
#30
The “q” means every – as in every five minutes. The prn means “as needed for…”
Though the abbreviations can be confusing, it makes for more efficient communication between doctors and pharmacists and allows us to get a lot of information into a little bit of writing.

Find a Diet For High Cholesterol
People who are diagnosed with high cholesterol levels should be careful of what they eat. This is because the cholesterol in their blood may shoot up to uncontrollable levels, causing severe damage to the arteries, heart, and other vital organs. If your doctor tells you that you have to lower your blood cholesterol, what he really means is that you should cut out on certain foods, more particularly on the fatty ones. You have to start eating healthy and living right to prevent further damage to your heart.
High cholesterol levels are present in 7 out of every 10 people over the age of 45. This means that a vast majority of our older adults are at high risk to have cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks, angina and stroke. This alarming fact induced the National Cholesterol Education Program and American Heart Association in 2001 to release diet guidelines – the Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (TLC) Diet – for people afflicted with high cholesterol and who were at high risk for heart disease.
Generally speaking, the diet for people with high cholesterol boils down to foods that you can’t eat and the foods that you should eat. This may mean that you have to totally change your eating habits. While this is inevitable, you have to do it because it’s the only way to prevent the development of high risk diseases such as arteriosclerosis and coronary heart diseases.
Breakfast and Snacks Meal Suggestions
Oats or Oatmeal
Whole wheat bread
Whole grain corn
Fruits like banana or apples
Fresh fruit juice
If you have high cholesterol level, you have to eat foods rich in fiber like oats and whole grains. Fiber can dissolve the bad cholesterol in the blood. The carbohydrates in oats, wheat, and corn can also help keep your cholesterol level within manageable levels.
Fruits contain vitamins and minerals that everyone needs, especially people with high cholesterol levels. Most fruits are rich in Vitamin C that can help protect the body against diseases like cancer and atherosclerosis. Banana, for example, is rich in potassium that can regulate one’s blood pressure.
Lunch and Dinner Meal Suggestions
Turkey, lean chicken, or fish
Vegetable salad
Fruits for dessert like mango, papaya, or orange
Carrot juice
White meat is a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid that is good for the heart. It helps improve blood fats and the amount of good cholesterol in the body. The essential fatty acids from fish such as tuna, salmon, and mackerel are necessary because the body doesn’t produce them at all. They can only be obtained from the food that you eat.
Vegetables are good sources of vitamins and minerals. A vegetarian diet is going to be helpful for people with high cholesterol levels. A lot of vegetables contain fiber, beta carotene, and Vitamin K that promote the health of the blood, heart, and almost all internal organs.
People with high cholesterol should never consume trans fat, hydrogenated fats, saturated fats and dietary cholesterol. You can avoid all these by avoiding fatty foods such as donuts, French fries, and other meals cooked in oil or hard margarine. Also, salty and sweet foods should be avoided as well. Baked goods such as pastries, cakes, crackers, and cookies should be eaten in moderation. Unhealthy snacks and foods with too much shortening should also be removed from your diet.

What foods should I avoid a diet low in fat?
I really need to follow a diet low in fat. Look I think I have angina pectoris, and I I'm really scared. I need to change my diet sooner or I could go to the hospital, and I would see tomorrow. I would also like to know what assets could do to improve my heart. Thank you for your help:]
If you really think you have heart problems, you should consult a doctor. Otherwise, can strengthen your heart with cardio exercise every day running, swimming, cycling and sports. Anything that increases your heart rate is high. Take a brisk walk is very beneficial. Avoid foods high in fat does not necessarily improve the health of your heart. In fact, many fatty foods are healthy for the heart, such as lawyers, nuts and salmon. It's a good idea, however, avoid saturated fats. This type of fat found in fried foods, ice cream, the meat fats and cakes. Make sure to completely eliminate trans fats, also known as hydrogenated oils. They are the worse for the heart.

Major Complications of Obesity and Their Causes
Obesity leads to various ailments and psychological problems. The muscles of obese persons are weak and flabby. Arthritis is also common in obese persons. The weight bearing joints are under constant stress and strain due to excess weight of the body. Blood vessels of obese persons get constricted due to excess cholesterol, which form plaques (atheromas). This leads to high blood pressure, stabbing pain in the chest (angina pectoris), heart attacks and strokes. The digestive system of obese persons is prone to diseases like diverticular pathologies. Gall stones may be formed due to excess cholesterol. Cancers, diabetes are all products of obesity. Obesity also creates problems during pregnancy.
The various diseases and complications due to obesity shorten the lifespan of individuals and can lead to premature death. Mortality and morbidity are both to associate closely with obesity. An obese person not only suffers physical pains but also suffers psychological trauma. He feels inferior, and there may be psychological problems as he is often ridiculed and teased.
Causes of Obesity
The various causes of obesity include overeating, lack of exercise, sedentary lifestyle, genetic factors, endocrine (hormonal imbalances) – all constitute important causative factors of obesity. Among endocrinal causes we need to discuss certain syndromes. In syndromes we have a set of pathologies grouped in a very characteristic manner.
1. Cushing’s syndrome
This is due to excessive glucocorticoid hormones (cortical). This can also occur due to excessive corticosteroid administration. That is, both endogenous and exogenous cortisols can cause cushings. The clinical features are:
• Wasting of tissue myopathy (weak muscles); thin skin, osteporosis, purple abdominal striations.
• Water retention oedema, high BP.
• Obesity of trunk, head, neck.
Apart from there they will be excessively prone to infection; poor wound healing, hirsuitism (hair growth in women).
2. Pickwickian syndrome
This syndrome is caused by many factors; obesity is one of the causes. Enlarged tonsils, acromegaly, myxoedema are all other causes. What happens in this syndrome? During sleep there is collapse of pharyngeal walls leading to respiratory obstruction, sometimes for well over a minute. O2 and CO2 disturb sleep and there is daytime somnolence. Personality changes, intellectual deterioration, headaches, enuresis are all presenting features. One of the important aspects of treatment is to lose weight.
3. Laurence moon biedl syndrome
There is polydaetyly (extra digits) retinitis pigmentos, cataract, microphthalmia, obesity, absent facial hair, hypogenitalism. This is a pituitary gland disorder. Also called Frohlichs syndrome or Adipose genital syndrome, some consider the fat boy of Pickwick Papers as an example of this syndrome. Others put him in the ‘pickwickian’ syndrome, i.e., obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome.
Thus we see in the above syndromes that either obesity is a cause or manifesting feature.

Can somebody explain the word ” Angina” ?
Is it a disease? a medical complication? a misspelled Angelina? or nick for you-know-what?
The word “angina” comes from the Latin verb “angere” meaning “to choke or throttle.” “Angina” is now the same as “angina pectoris” (the Latin “pectus” = “chest”).
The Angelina gives you a real shock that it will make your 100 Billion Neurons short circuited, and there is a total BURN OUT OF YOUR HEART. YOU ARE ALIVE BUT DEAD, AND YOU WILL LONG THAT THIS HAPPENS OVER OVER AGAIN.
When it comes to humor we the medical community are the best Here is a list of various Angees/Angelique/or your mispelled Angelina:
AA American angina (like everyone else’s angina but deserved its own name
for some reason)
BA black angina (same as white angina)
CA covert angina (like silent myocardial ischaemia but won’t admit to it
under questioning)
DA decentralised angina (in the era of telemedicine, central chest pain
is
just so old fashioned!)
EA expensive angina (has BUPA/PPP cover)
FA French angina (more angst than pain, really)
GA gay angina (an older term for “jolly angina” which has fallen into
disuse for obvious reasons)
HA hot angina (like unstable angina but only occurs in Latin countries)
IA incomprehensible angina (no coronary lesions, middle aged woman, can’t
think of another explanation)
JA jolly angina (a disease of the English upper classes, who know a
cardiac
diagnosis when they get one!)
KA kilo angina (congratulations, you’ve just had your 1,000th attack!)
LA lucrative angina (easily diagnosed, easily treated, easily billed)
MA Mastercard angina (prompt payers are always welcome…)
NA not angina (the corollary, common in women and upper social classes, a
great waster of health care resources)
OA outrageous angina (occurs after previous CABG and PTCA in a VIP)
PA pernicious anaemia (sorry, what’s that doing in here??)
QA query angina (general practitioner diagnosis – might be a broken
rib…)
RA royal angina (occurs when blue blood reaches the left heart…)
SA stoical angina (occurs in blue-collar workers who don’t like to
complain)
TA true angina (one in a hundred classical case with classical response
to
treatment)
UA untreatable angina (doesn’t exist in private practice)
VA variant angina (i.e., not the same as the last patient)
WA white angina (see “black angina”)
XA xenophobic angina (only occurs on foreign trips)
YA youthful angina (definition: patient is younger than the cardiologist)
ZA zipcode angina (only diagnosable within the zip code area of a major
cardiology centre)
Thanks again. Keep those brains humming. We’ll do our best to help. Best wishes to everyone as we head into the season of holidays.

Heparin Induced Thronbocytopenia
Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia
By Paul Parks RN,ADN,LNC
Heparin induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is a severe immune reaction to heparin. Heparin is the most common prescribed anticoagulant in the United States. HIT is a potentially fatal condition it can lead to amputation and loss of limbs; it is more common than health care professionals are aware of.
Some facts about heparin induced thrombocytopenia, each year in the U.S. 12 million patients are exposed to the anticoagulant heparin. Contrary to popular belief HIT is not a rare condition as a matter of fact it occurs in up to 360,000 to 600,000 individuals each year, this is twice the number of breast cancer diagnosis in this country annually and nearly equal to the number of new cases of angina diagnosed each year.
Understanding heparin induced thrombocytopenia, ironically what heparin is most used for is to treat blood clots in veins and this is where the manifestations occur. Venous complications are four times more likely than arterial complications.
Who is at risk for HIT? HIT is the most important immunological drug reaction faced today. Heparin is used everywhere, for surgery, prophylaxis of clots and to keep arterial and venous lines patent it is not uncommon to have an intravenous line flushed with heparin so the tip does not occlude.
Frequency of HIT is related to the type of heparin used. The standard heparin that is used is unfractionated heparin. If 100 people where treated with unfractionated heparin and given a full dose 1/20 would develop HIT. Unfractionated heparin contains the highest risk. A low molecular weight heparin will produce HIT in 1/100 patients. Patients exposed to both types of heparin are at risk for HIT.
Concerns in cardiology, 100% of al patients having CABG or open heart surgery are put on heparin as well as patients with ischemia in the cardiac cath lab undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention PCI. Recent advances in cardiology are allowing patients to live longer and have less invasive procedures, but some patients with severe disease need treatment over and over again i.e. angioplasty, stenting and angiography therefore the risk in that patient population is more common. Any patient admitted to cardiology services is at risk for HIT, but the highest risk patients are surgical patients because of other causes such as low platelets, blood loss and dilution.
Timing of heparin induced thrombocytopenia usually occurs between day 5 and 14 after starting heparin, onset can also be immediate, and also the patient may have a non eventful hospital stay and get HIT at home after discharge up to a week later.
The importance of monitoring platelets, recent studies have shown the best way to spot HIT is to measure a falling platelet count, usually the platelet count drops 30-50% of baseline from the height after surgery to the drop, a platelet drop of 50% usually means a platelet count drop to
Making the clinical diagnosis, physicians must try to make the diagnosis before thrombosis occurs. If the patient has a DVT with a low platelet count while on heparin HIT should be the diagnosis until proven otherwise. The cornerstone of management is early diagnosis. The best serology tests for HIT are SRA test, HIPA test, and ELISA test all which have varying degrees of reliability. Serology tests should not be waited upon to start treatment of suspected HIT.
Treating HIT, the initial focus should be focused on stopping the heparin. merely discontinuing the heparin does not take away the clotting risk. All invasive lines i.e. PA line, A-line, I.V. Hep lock etc. should be flushed with saline to keep the lines patent without clotting, even a small dose for a line flush can perpetuate a thrombosis. The second step after stopping heparin should be to stop the cascading catastrophic effect and continue anticoagulation with alternative drugs.
Alternative anticoagulants are not chemically structured like heparin; the first drug Argatroban inhibits thrombin and direct thrombin inhibiters and Lepirudin.
Lepirudin is excreted by the kidneys, so care must be given to patients with renal problems. Argatroban is excreted by the liver so would be the preferred choice for older patients with renal insufficiency but the dosage must be reduced for patients with impaired liver function. Argatroban achieves anticoagulation effects in 1-3 hours and does not interact with other medications.
Conclusion: The clinical understanding of heparin induced thrombocytopenia
continues to grow because of the important role hemostasis plays in surgery, hematology, percutaneous coronary intervention PCI and other invasive procedures requiring anticoagulation. Understanding of the clinical event and therapeutic approaches to the event with proper serology and lab tests will assist the clinician in diagnosing, treating and managing patients that develop heparin induced thrombocytopenia.

How do you keep calm?
Just been diagnosed with unstable angina and need tips on how to stay calm as much as possible! Any other advice on how to manage my condition would also be appreciated, thanks!
Keep as positive as you can do. Having read your previous questions and answers I can see that you have a lot on your plate. Try thinking about one day at a time. Don’t worry about tomorrow, what will happen will happen, deal with things as they come up and then let them go knowing you’ve dealt with them the best you could. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from family members when you need it. Also don’t think you have to be the one running around after everyone, you can say NO if it’s going to be too much for you. At the end of the day just take time out for yourself.

What are the Different Types of Heart Surgery?
In medical terminology ‘Heart Surgery’ refers to a surgical procedure which intends to replace the blocked coronary arteries with the veins obtained from the lower extremities of a patient. The general procedure involves placing the patient on a heart bypass machine. Then the surgeon performs surgery on the non-beating resting heart of the patient. With the surgery, it definitely improves the quality of life of a heart ailment sufferer.
In order to fix different heart problems of a patient, medical science has come up with numerous types of heart surgeries. Below is the brief description of these heart surgeries:
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: It is also abbreviated as CABG and is one of the most common types of heart surgeries. CABG is usually carried on a person with a serous coronary artery disease (CAD).
In such type of coronary artery disease, a fatty material referred to as ‘Plaque’ gets accumulated inside the coronary arteries of a patient, which then blocks the arteries and reduces the flow of blood in the heart muscle.
In this type of heart surgery, a surgeon usually takes an artery or a vein from the leg, chest or any other body part of a patient. He then grafts or connects them (veins /arteries) with the blocked artery. With this, the CABG helps to bypass the blockage. In one surgery, the surgeon can bypass the maximum of four blocked coronary arteries.
Transmyocardial Laser Revascularization (TLR): This type of heart surgery is usually carried out to treat angina. This is the last option of heart surgery when all the other treatment options have failed.
In this type of heart surgery, the surgeon effectively uses the laser technology to make channels in the heart muscle. These channels in turn allow the blood to flow directly from the heart chambers into the heart muscle.
Valve Repair /Replacement: Heart valves are responsible for letting blood flow in one direction. Each valve comprises of a set of flaps known as ‘Leaflets’.
These leaflets when get opened allow the blood to pass directly into the arteries from heart chambers. Thereafter, the leaflets get closed firmly to stop blood from flowing back and forth into the heart chambers.
Valve repair is a kind of heart surgery which aims at operating the closed leaflets. The leaflets get closed due to the valve fusion which ultimately results in the flow of blood from the valves into the arteries getting discontinue.
To overcome this problem, surgeons usually carry out valve repair or replacement. These replacement valves comprise of human, animal tissue or any man-made substance.
Aneurysm Repair: An aneurysm refers to the abnormal bulging in the heart muscle or in the walls of the artery. This trouble usually occurs in the left-most heart chamber. With the passage of time, aneurysm can grow worst and gets burst, thus leading to the bleeding inside the body. It may also result in heart attack.
In order to overcome this trouble, surgeons usually carry out a surgery to replace the weaker sections of the artery with a graft.
Heart Transplant: Heart Transplantation is usually done on those patients who have weak heart that fails to pump enough blood for meeting the various body requirements.
This type of surgery intends to replace the un-healthy and diseased heart with the healthy heart. This surgical measure is usually practiced when all the medical treatments fail.
Only those patients who are either severely sick or need an instant heart transplantation are recommended to carry out this surgical remedy. This is due to the limited availability of donor hearts.
It is entirely up to the medical surgeon who diagnoses your heart problem carefully to decide which surgical procedure suits you best and then carry out the appropriate Heart surgery.

Beta-blockers Information
Beta-blockers are drugs that affect the body's response to some nerve impulses. This, in turn, decreases the force and rate of heart contractions, which lowers blood pressure and reduced oxygen demand of the heart. The main use beta-blockers to treat hypertension. Some are also used to relieve the type of chest pain called angina pectoris or prevent heart attacks in people who have had an attack the heart. These medications can be prescribed for others, such as sore headache, tremors and irregular heartbeat. In the eye drop form, which used to treat certain types of glaucoma. Beta-blockers also known as beta-blockers, are available only by prescription. Getting the form of capsules, tablets, liquids and injectables. Some beta-blockers atenolol common (Tenormin), metoprolol (Lopressor), nadolol (Corgard), propranolol (Inderal) and timolol (BLOCADREN). Timolol and certain other beta-blockers are also sold in the form of eye drops to treat glaucoma. Eye drops containing beta-blockers include betaxolol (Betop-ICT), cartelol (Ocupress) and timolol (Timoptic). The recommended dose depends on the type, strength, and the form of beta-blocker and the condition prescribed. The doctor who prescribed the prescription drug or your pharmacist can recommend the correct dose. This medicine may take several weeks to pressure the blood pressure significantly lower. If you take exactly as directed is important. This medicine should not be stopped without consulting the prescribing physician. Some conditions may worsen when patients abruptly stop taking beta-blockers. This may also increase the risk of heart attack in some people. Because of these effects possible, is important to have enough medication on hand to spend weekends, holidays and vacations. The doctor may recommend that patients check their pulse before and after taking this medicine. If the pulse becomes very slow, circulation problems may result. Consult a physician regularly while taking beta-blockers is important. The doctor will examine you to ensure that the drug works as it should and there are no side effects. People with high blood pressure often feel perfectly fine. However, should continue to consult their doctor even when they feel well, and the doctor can monitor their government. Patients should also continue to take your medicine even if you feel well. Beta-blockers do not cure hypertension, but will help control the condition. To avoid serious health problems that can cause high blood pressure, patients can take medicine for the rest of their lives. In addition, medicine is not enough. Patients with hypertension may also avoid certain foods and keep your weight under control. The healthcare is to treat the condition can offer advice on measures that are needed. Diseases of the heart of Part IV – Heart Diseases — heart Diseases affecting the heart muscles
As mentioned in previous articles, heart disease are caused by high blood pressure contributes to hardening of the arteries. High levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) accumulates in the arteries as a result of uncontrolled diet with high levels of saturated fats and trans fats.
In the case of heart disease that affects the heart muscles, heart muscles are stiff, increasing the amount of pressure needed to expand the blood flow to the heart or a narrowing of the passage following the obstruction of blood flow away from the heart.
Heart disease affecting the muscles Heart include:
1. Cardiomyopathy
The heart muscle becomes inflamed and does not work as well as it should. There may be multiple causes such as high blood pressure disease, heart valves, artery disease or congenital heart defects.
a) The dilated cardiomyopathy
The cavity of the heart is enlarged and extended. Blood flows more slowly through an enlarged heart, causing the formation of blood clots after clot from sticking to the lining of the heart, break the right ventricle into the pulmonary circulation in the lung or be expelled and led to the movement of the body to form emboli.
b) Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
The wall between the two ventricles enlarged and blocks the flow of blood the left ventricle. The thickened wall sometimes distorts one leaflet of the mitral valve, causing leaks. Symptoms include of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting and angina pectoris.
c) Cardiomyopathy restrictive
The ventricles becomes excessively rigid, it is harder for the ventricles fill with blood between beats. The symptoms of restrictive cardiomyopathy include shortness of breath, swelling of hands and feet.
2. Myocarditis
Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle or the weakening of the heart muscle. The symptoms of myocarditis include fever, aches angina, congestive heart failure and palpitations.

Information on angina pectoris?
How are the cells of the body affected and how is the function of the body affected when a person affected by angina pectoris? What are the chances of recovery or survival when they are affected by angina pectoris?
Anginia button cells in the heart. It is the result of a lack of blood flow in muscle tissue. This is what causes the pain. The result can be a decrease in blood flow elsewhere in the body. It can also trigger a myocardial infarction (heart attack), tingling in the extremities (Especially the right), cold or numbness in the extremities. It can also lead to tachycardia, irregular heartbeat bardycardia, etc. This may also affect hypotension (low B / P). The chances of survival are good with early medical intervention. Some tonsillitis is easy to correct nitroglycerin with others require surgery. This is a impairitive undergo a physical examination, stress test and blood enzymes.

Information on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases
There are a wide range of effective drug treatment for people suffering from diseases heart. These medications can help lower blood pressure or cholesterol, prevent or dissolve blood clots, relieve and prevent symptoms of angina or angina improve the strength or rhythm of heart contractions.
Medical procedures to diagnose and treat heart disease include coronary angiography, the graft CABG, coronary angioplasty, coronary stenting, heart transplants, surgery for congenital anomalies, surgery of heart valve defects, electrophysiological treatments and implantation of a defibrillator heart.
In addition to drug treatments and surgery, there is a wide range of treatments for heart disease and procedures for disease diagnosis heart.
Surgery
In severe cases, surgery may be necessary to open blocked blood vessels. Some data suggest that surgery is best for patients with blockages above the knee, and that more conservative measures may be equally effective for blocking below the knee.
Replacement therapy of heart failure in terminally
heart failure patients treated with a device left ventricular assist (LVAD) are living longer and better than patients who did not receive the device.
Surgeons implanted pump, which is the size of a CD player, on top of the abdominal wall or into the peritoneum. A tube in the device enters the left ventricle and drains the blood ventricle on the device.
The treatment of heart failure – implantable devices and cardiac tissue grown in cells – are in the top 10 research advances on heart disease and stroke in 2001, said David Faxon, president of the American Heart Association.
Other important sites are drug-eluting stents and the use of stem cell transplants to repair stroke damaged. Founded in 1996, the "Top 10" list highlights major advances in heart disease and stroke research.
Less Heart disease invasive surgery
No wonder that many people who have heart disease requiring surgery instead of opting for less invasive methods. Surgery illness is a major operation and the time needed for recovery and rehabilitation is very broad. Techniques less invasive include less pain and scarring that the incisions are smaller and recovery times are much faster. This type of surgery to disease heart failure is becoming an alternative to routine operations with a big heart.
Less invasive surgery for heart disease does not require chest was fully opened from small incisions used in the operation less complex. In addition, it is necessary for vessels of the graft arm and legs and not need large equipment like heart lung machines. This type of surgery to heart disease, is also a short hospital stay and less risk of complications for the patient.
Ischaemic heart disease
Surgery is indicated when medical treatment has failed relieve symptoms or when angiography significant sample of blood vessel disease. Coronary Angioplasty – dilating the blocked vessel by inflating a balloon inside the vessel and coronary revascularization (CAP) – replacement of the locked zone of the vessel by a graft of the patient, can be done to relieve the obstruction.
Prevention
Risk factors such as diet rich in fat, smoking, physical inactivity and Stress should be avoided because they are major focus areas in prevention. Avoid foods high in saturated fats is essential reduce lipid levels in the blood and prevent arteriosclerosis. Regular exercise is essential appropriate. Diabetes Mellitus and hypertension should be kept under control by appropriate treatment.
