angina causes

Is this angina? If yes, what could be the cause?

I'm 16, have a history of anorexia, bulimia, but finalized before arriving at a very low weight. I used to serve up to 15 times per day, with some laxatives abuse and diet pill, but now I'm in recovery and did not vomit volunterily in about two weeks. At the end I used to be very convenient, because if he could run all the way home to my school (1.3 miles) in under 10 minutes. But recently, I discovered that even only running for a short period of time has many problems for me. My whole chest feels very heavy as my chest will collapse. I have a pain close until the top of my back and my neck. I'm very bad headache, feel very nausious, and shortness of breath, as I will collapse and vomiting. Is this angina? If yes, what could be the cause? I also tend to be quite dazed and confused during these episodes.

Well bummer! You know when you starve, the body needs to eat – so eat muscles – And one of the muscles you eat is your heart. Therefore, it is possible that your heart has been damaged and is not pumping blood which he needs to stay alert. However – Never underestimate the power of psychology too! Your own psychology may be the cause of chest pain and dizziness and it can handle. Maybe something in your mind is not happy is recovering from this eating disorder. They also often do anything to keep our bad diseases. About all you can do is to slow – drink plenty of water and get more magnesium in the diet – may be a bit of vitamins daily. And if you can, the protein-containing foods – eggs, nuts, cheese, meat. This will right to replace any loss of protein. I do not know if you can repair a heart that has been devoured by a hungry body – but it is more likely that you 're heart is fine and good and you have some sort of anxiety attack "something. It is angina pectoris. It's a pain that starts in the heart and spreads in the region of the pectoral muscle – chest region. So go see a doctor and move away from the eating disorder.

Blodprop i hjertet Symptomer

what should i do when i have a variant angina?

How is Variant Angina Treated?

Variant agnina is treated with drugs called calcium channel blockers. These drugs can decrease variant angina attacks, and are often used in combination with nitrates. Variant angina tends to be cyclic, meaning that it appears for a while and then goes away. This means that after six to 12 months of treatment, your doctor may be able to gradually reduce your medications. If, however, your angina is being caused by a severe blockage, your doctor may schedule a procedure called an angioplasty to treat it.

The goal of treating variant angina is to stop the symptoms. Your doctor will work with you to come up with a plan that includes:

* Stopping the use of any drugs that cause coronary artery spasm
* Taking medication to help prevent coronary spasm
* Reviewing your lifestyle and habits to reduce your risk for heart disease
* Having frequent follow-up appointments to check your progress
* Quitting smoking

Angina And Anxiety

Is it angina or anxiety?

I regularly have minor chest pains. nothing disturbing, just twinges every now and again.
I also get looads of ectopic beats every day, but they don’t bother me anymore because I’m so used to them.
I also get pins and needles in my left arm from time to time, but this is usually aggrivated by alcohol.
I went to the doctor and said that it’s probably just panic disorder, but I’m not convinced.

Any thoughts to calm me down? (I’ve just had a panic attack thinking I was gonna have a heart attack :( lol )

Thanks :)

You must be seeing a doctor regularly if you chest pains and ectopic beats are regular, and you have panic disorder. Are you on medication for these symptoms? If your parents know that you are drinking alcohol at 17 then they should be arrested, and you should be under psyciatric care.

my friend (63) has unstable angina + has cancelled a coronary artery bypass operation. how do i help him cope?

he has become depressed about the risks associated with angina,,. and he postponed the operation due to fear of the risks associated with it. also he said he didnt feel able to cope with the lengthy recovery period after the op. also i think he is becoming afraid of death/disability associated with advancing age. i don’t know what to advise him or how to support him in this., apart from to “be there” for him. but sometimes i feel he wants me to help him make a decision on whether or not to go ahead with this heart surgery. i really am at a loss as to what to say or do. can anyone think of any positives in this kind of situation. and what words or actions can help someone faced with such a serious health dilemma?

I had a bypass 18months ago, the risks are actually very, very low. It’s just that hospitals now have to explain everything to you. I had my bypass on the Monday and went home on the Friday. You spend 12 hours in high dependency (normal) and there is very little pain. I came home and went for my first walk the next day (albeit short).
The lady in the bed opposite me in hospital was 82 and quite frail but she was fine.
I had my gall bladder out about 7 years ago, and the heart by pass was a walk in the park compared to that. The only painkillers I was on after the HDU was paracetamol, and not for very long. I did get a bit depressed at first because of the thought of not being healthy and dying young, but my next door neighbour, had a bypass 27 years ago and she is now 85!
Tell your friend to go for it, or live like an invalid and die young! I have never met anyone who regretted having it.
You should get the opportunity to do a rehab programme of excercise and you will be surprised how much you can do, and make great friends, all in the same boat, and even enjoy it, (and I have to be the most unfit person on the planet)

Trigger Point Massage Therapy May Ease Chronic Pain in Jacksonville FL

Chronic pain is often identified as arthritis, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatic symptoms, tendonitis or angina pectoris. In many cases, however, a misdiagnosis is involved and the pain is actually caused by trigger points in the muscles. This can be diagnosed correctly and treated through trigger point massage therapy given by professional massage therapists. If you happen to be experiencing similar kinds of pain in Duval County, Southside, Tinseltown or St John’s Town Center, ask about trigger point massage therapy from the massage therapists at reputable massage spas in Jacksonville FL.

Dr. Janet G. Travell, personal physician of US President John F. Kennedy, discovered and mapped out trigger points in 1942. She explained that these are not due to infection, inflammation, trauma, degeneration or neoplasm. Neither are trigger points explainable through neurological examinations. The presence of any of these factors would actually rule out trigger points as the root cause of any pain that is experienced.

Trigger points are nodules that are contractions in bands of muscles that have tightened. The trigger points themselves cause local pain while simultaneously referring pain to other body parts. The referred pain is often located far from the trigger point. Painful trigger points that actively refer pain to other body parts are called active trigger points.

A trigger point may also be latent, meaning it is not painful and it is not actively referring pain to other body parts. It may, however, cause problems in the use of muscles, resulting in poor balance and coordination. Any pressure or strain could also immediately activate such latent trigger points.

When an active trigger point is deactivated, it becomes latent. Trigger point massage therapy, therefore, aims not only to deactivate but to completely resolve trigger points.

A latent trigger point may also be activated by pain from another trigger point. The referring trigger point is then called a key trigger point. The latent trigger point that has been activated is called a satellite trigger point. The moment the key trigger point is deactivated or resolved, its satellite trigger point is likewise deactivated or resolved.

Activation of a trigger point by another trigger point can also happen through biomechanical means. In such cases, the source trigger point is called a primary trigger point and the activated trigger point is called a secondary trigger point.

Trigger point massage therapists identify a patient’s trigger points and use deep prolonged pressure to deactivate then resolve them. The therapist uses hands, fingers, knuckles, elbows, feet and many massage tools to apply and maintain such deep pressure consistently. After resolving the trigger points, the therapist works further on the muscles and fascia, using their natural range of motion to stretch, elongate and relax them.

It is dangerous to get trigger point massage therapy from an untrained therapist, though. Trigger points will not be resolved if not enough pressure is applied or if it is not held long enough. If too much pressure is applied, on the other hand, or if the pressure is held too long, the trigger point may be bruised and this will lead to even greater pain. The untrained therapist may also cause the development of new trigger points or the activation of existing latent trigger points.

Trigger point massage therapy may resolve your existing trigger points but that does not exempt you from their recurrence or the development of new trigger points. Regular therapeutic massage can prevent this from happening. Therapeutic massage from a professional massage spa can mean reflexology massage therapy, Swedish massage therapy, deep tissue massage therapy, sports massage therapy and pregnancy massage therapy for expectant mothers. Residents of Duval County, Southside, Tinseltown or St John’s Town Center may avail of any of these from a massage spa in Jacksonville FL.

Do Not Take Heartburn Symptoms Lying Down Or Bent Over

Searing pain and a burning sensation are often common heartburn symptoms. These are caused when the stomach releases some of its gastric juices up into the esophagus. The stomach is built to take these acids. The esophagus is not. Everyone experiences a bit of heartburn symptoms on occasion. The less than luck few experience it quite often and for long periods of time. And those less than lucky ones fall into intriguing patterns. Those that live in the American South experience more frequent heartburn symptoms than those other parts of the country. Women have it more often than men. Older people experience the burn more than younger ones. Homeowners suffer more symptoms than renters. And those in middle income brackets suffer more heartburn symptoms than the wealthy and poor.

Other frequent heartburn symptoms include

- an acidic taste in the mouth,

- coughing,

- sore throats,

- fullness of the chest

- and difficulty swallowing.

All of these are caused by the esophagus reacting to the acids being pushed up. Most heartburn symptoms last a few minutes. Others may linger for a few hours. The symptoms may increase if a person bends over or lies down. In pregnant women, heartburn symptoms are often accompanied by nausea, sweating and back pain. Pregnant women can also get heartburn symptoms if they do not eat on time. The empty stomach is pressured by the size of the uterus.

Heartburn angina symptoms can be similar to heart attack symptoms. And heartburn can also be a symptom of a heart attack. Heartburn is more often described as a burning sensation from the stomach up to the mid-chest. Heart attacks are different in that it feels like a weight pressing on the chest. However, if there is even a smidgeon of doubt, do not take heartburn symptoms lightly. Seek immediate medical help if you even think it might be a heart attack. A bit of embarrassment is a small price to pay for safety. Heart attacks are often accompanied by nausea, sweating, shortness of breath, weakness, overwhelming anxiety, and pain or numbness that spreads into the jaw, shoulder, or down the arm.

Heartburn symptoms on occasion are natural. However, long term heartburn symptoms can mean trouble. Frequent exposure of the esophagus to stomach acids can lead to painful sores, bleeding and scarring. This condition is called esophagitis. In rare cases, the scarring can lead to abnormal cells growing in the esophagus. This is called Barrett’s esophagus and it can be a precursor to cancer. If you have increased pain or trouble swallowing, make a quick visit to a doctor.

Stress Types – Good Stress vs. Bad Stress

Stress was created to help the human body get through life’s turbulence. When danger is sensed, the body’s natural “fight or flight” response kicks in, as a way to prepare itself for battle. The adrenal glands kick into action, flooding the bloodstream with high doses of adrenaline to give the body energy.

Heart rate quickens and blood flow increases, giving the body’s major organs and muscles more oxygen. Endorphins are released to work as natural painkillers. Breathing increases and digestion slows, all in attempt to help you better face what imminent struggle lays ahead. Nature’s way of handling something bad coming our way, stress can be good when it helps you focus and deal with an emergency.

Problems arise when stress levels continue to escalate, causing this natural fight or flight response to stay with you throughout the day. An ongoing struggle with a spouse, an illness, or an unruly coworker can all cause this fight or flight response to linger unnaturally. The nervous system senses prolonged tension and danger, and may continue to pump hormones and chemicals throughout the body that can deplete a person’s natural reserves, leaving them feeling tired and sick all of the time.

A little stress can be a good thing – but too much is bad for anyone. While good stress empowers us to get a job done, or handle a tough situation on our own, bad stress can strip us of confidence, and the wherewithal to tackle everyday issues.

Too Much Stress Is Bad.
Too much bad stress, (or a stress overload), can cause severe problems with the body’s immune system, making its victim more prone to simple illnesses like colds and flu, or more serious conditions such as infections, diabetes, high blood pressure and gastrointestinal problems. Stress has also been linked to a higher rate of cancer, heart attack and stroke in some patients. In others, too much stress can lead to depression, which can cause serious mental and behavior problems as well.

What Causes Bad Stress?
Everyone reacts to stress differently; what bothers one person may easily be shrugged off by another. But, some of the most common stress-inducers are:

-Divorce
-Death
-Illness
-Moving
-New job
-Pregnancy
-Legal issues
-Retirement
-Financial problems
-Marriage

Recognizing The Symptoms Of Too Much Bad Stress.
The first step t overcoming bad stress is first, recognizing that you are experiencing it, than finding new ways to cope. Symptoms of a stress overload may include:

-Emotional Changes. Mood swings, anxiety, insomnia, trouble concentrating, anger and even feelings of agitation and tenseness may all be signs that your stress levels are hitting dangerous proportions.

-Feeling Unwell. Physical symptoms of stress can often be very subtle (an upset tummy, or trouble eating), or they can be more severe with extreme fatigue, throbbing headaches, chest pains, recurring diarrhea, or even angina and/or heart palpitations.

-Behavioral Changes are another sign that stress points are rising to an unhealthy state. Overreacting, anger, acting on impulse, withdraws and even a sudden need to quit or change jobs may be the result of stress overload.

Stress can be good or it can be bad. The best way to get control of bad stress is to recognize its symptoms, and learn how it affects your specific body so that you can better monitor and handle it. Learn to recognize how your body reacts to stress, and you’ll be better prepared to stop it in its tracks.

Alternative medicine for bad cholesterol

What exactly is this "bad" cholesterol?
The Cholesterol is classified under "fat" or "Grease". They are part of cell membranes and play an important role in cellular functions. In the fats in the blood are attached to proteins and form groups of substances called lipoproteins.
* Low Density Lipoprotein Low (LDL)
* Very low density lipoproteins (VLDL)
* The high-density lipoprotein (HDL)

Chylomicrons

These low-density lipoprotein are known as "bad cholesterol". If the rate of this increase in blood levels of bad cholesterol that deposited on the walls of blood vessels that block the flow of blood. If the flow of blood toward the heart is blocked, causing angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. If blood flow is blocked to the brain results in the race.

In contrast, high density lipoprotein called "good cholesterol" and the protection function.

Alternative Medicine
While statins are kings when to take down and control levels blood levels of bad cholesterol, the possibility of using alternative medicine is always there for their effectiveness, cost and side effects minimal.

Before turning to alternative medical treatment to lower cholesterol, one must know the optimal levels and high levels risk of cholesterol.

Total cholesterol:
*
200 mg / <dl is the desired level safely
* 201-239mg/dL is the limit for high risk
*
240mg/dl> is the level of risk
LDL:
*
160 is the level of risk

The target people with higher risk factors for heart disease is less than 130 mg / dL. In patients who already have heart disease, the goal is less than 100 mg / dl, according to the guidelines of the FDA. And we must also increase levels of HDL or good cholesterol. So now if you want to avoid taking statins and curative medicine, then you must follow two steps.
1. Avoid foods high in fat
2. Taking natural supplements

Fatty foods should be avoided:
The highest cholesterol content is found in meat, poultry, seafood and dairy products. Wherever possible, These foods should be avoided.

Natural supplements at levels of cholesterol:
There are many natural supplements, found to be effective in reducing cholesterol and has been proven by numerous studies. Some of them are

* Beta-sitosterol: This is a plant sterol that can reduce cholesterol
* Niacin is vitamin B3, which lowers LDL cholesterol by 20%
Fish oils *
* Green Tea
* Psyllium and flaxseed: they contain fibers that reduce cholesterol
* Mangosteen and Sytrinol: These are extracts of fruits, reduce cholesterol
* Policosanol: it is derived from cane sugar and reduce LDL cholesterol by almost 25%
* Cholestin: This is a sophisticated form fermented with red yeast rice. Cholestin reduce LDL cholesterol by 20-30%. It also increases HDL cholesterol.
* The protein soy isoflavones lowers LDL cholesterol by 10%
* Garlic: Lowers LDL cholesterol by 12%
* Flosaquae Aphanizomenon (AFA): It is blue-green algae, which reduces the LDL cholesterol by 20%.
* Gugulipid extract of Commiphora mukul, the gum resin from the myrrh tree and Aspalathus linearis Mukul (Rooibos), a plant medicinal in southern Africa are also effective

She is a smoker and stress INDER was a lot here lately. Moreover, it did not exercise regularly. It is a medium weight

Im not an expert but it seems as if she needs to see a doctor immediately. If she is a smoker, I might have a tougher of the aorta which could rupture and kill him at any time without treatment. This is the worst, but still. If breathing trivial, it may be a foreign body by clicking on a part of his elbows during the movement of the lung in a certain way. could also be a blocked artery or heart. anything, it is very important to consult a doctor, probably to MRI

resting heart rate of 118 beats per minute 16 years – the cause?

Basically, I had a rapid heart rate so long I remember even in school classes was well above average when the class survey that we have. I also experienced what could be classified as angina-like symptoms from a young age (especially around 10 to 12 years) with chest pain that spreads to my arm. I have not really had any problems lately and put out of mind, but I recently had to be measured again and got a rate of 118 beats per minute. I have a BMI of about 22, have problems in the year (just completed the Duke of Edinburgh gold) and a relatively healthy diet. I do not smoke, take drugs or do something that I can think may cause tachycardia. Or experience any stress, while my heart rate measurement – breathing is regular, and I would say that my heart rate does not increase in the "syndrome white coat. " You should consult a physician / cardiologist? and do you have any suggestions as to what could be the cause? thank you xxx

I think you should see a doctor. But do you think it could be stress or something else? There are also cases of heart disease problems in your family?

Stress tests (strip) is good to observe the response to exercise his heart and research of coronary artery disease. Stress testing is the gold standard as recommended by results, it may be that if angiography is needed at all, what could be a costly expense that could have been avoided. If angiography is recommended do. It is the most invasive of all procedures used for diagnosis, but gives lots of information on cardiac function and structure. Almost all possible diagnoses angiography can be done with more specific procedures may be done inside the catheterization laboratory, such as stents and balloon dilation, which are more risky and much less in relation to cardiac surgery. Heart tests such as MRI and CT are relatively safe, but CT put significant amounts of radiation, but the timing of CT is much less than the RM and the RM can be complications if you previous stent in his heart or other metal materials in your body. All tests described above have a statistical risk and minimum mortality maximum of only 0.11%. Most problems are complications, but usually not death.

Sometimes I have chest pain could be angina?

rest pain, no pain in the upper chest, dissicult explain. I cough is not / do not smoke. i am 38

Angina usually occurs in people who are older (50 years and more), which means your heart is not enough oxygen to do their work. If you had a pain in the last month before experiencing a sensation pressure near the center of your chest, then probably angina pectoris.
