angina after stent

i feel great after having a stent in my coronary artery. i had angina but no heart attack. is it usual?

I feel that i can be normal like before. My doctor says i can do everything after stenting whatever i could do before. What are the experiences of others. I feel that I can easily overcome this situation.

It’s quite common. You can lead a normal life! Congratulations, your coronary artery disease was discovered and treated in time to save your life. Many others are not that lucky.

You do have to make some lifestyle changes though. You need to maintain a healthy diet and weight and you need to get regular exercise. Just because they were able to render one of your coronary arteries patent again doesn’t mean that you aren’t susceptible to vascular disease elsewhere or even in the same location again.

You’ve got to take keep yourself healthy. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
