Angina Jaw Pain
angina jaw pain
Could fibromyalgia be confined to the stomach muscles?
I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety and often get a cramping pain in my stomach area
(just under my ribs) especially when I start driving. But the I think the pain is on the surface (not visceral) because I feel no problems in my digestive system or my stomach (I can eat perfectly
well).
The pain often radiates slightly into the lower chest and around the middle abdomen and sides. This pain has gotten worst and gets nearly unbearable after a fit rage episode (yelling, screaming, etc…).
At first I thought the pain was related to the heart, but I later researched it and learned that heart pain (angina) is more of a suffocating pain in the upper chest radiating to the throat, jaw, and arms.
It seems like my muscles in above my stomach contract involuntarily due to chronic anxiety and this gets even worst after anger. Could my pain be some of fibromyalgia?
Let me know if anyone else suffers from similar pain.
By the strictest definition of fibromyalgia, no, it can’t be it. Fibromyalgia, by definition, has to involve a certain number of specific areas that are prone to pain in fibromyalgia sufferers (circular definition, I know). You can see the locations here:

As you can see, not a single area is near the stomach/abdomen.
